漂流物をモチーフにしたカレンダーのためのグラフィック
幼い頃から大好きなビーチコーミングで集めた貝をモチーフにカレンダーを制作するため、12種類のグラフィックを制作しました。貝を観察すると、表面上に色々な模様や傷があることに気がつきます、種としてプログラムされた幾何学的なシワや模様に加え、異なる境遇のなかで刻まれた、傷や擦れがそれぞれの個体を形作っていることがわかります。個体としての貝殻だけでなく、種としての歴史が刻まれ、現れる様を結晶として表現しました。
Graphics for a calendar featuring driftwood motifs.
I made 12 graphics for a calendar using shells I had collected through beachcombing since childhood. Observing the shells, I noticed the variety of patterns and scars on their surfaces—not only the geometric wrinkles and patterns programmed by the species, but also the marks and wear that shape each individual through different circumstances. I expressed both the individual shell and the history of the species as crystallized in form.
